Where does your business come from?

Did you know that 80% of all of your home based business comes from your existing client base? Do the math and look at your stats. It is true. Moreover, almost all of your new business will only come from that existing client base per referrals if you do not know how to market your business effectively. What does this means to you? Well for one thing, it means you best keep the existing client base you have happy and another thing is that without that base clientele you have no hope for any new clients. However, in addition, you also need to learn how to market your business effectively or your business will not grow to the numbers of your dreams.

You may be perfectly happy at status quo and if that is the case, then fine. But if you are not happy at status quo and want to see your home based business grow start first by marketing your current client base. Yes, sale yourself to your existing clients even more so. You have the perfect opportunity to market your business free by marketing your existing clients. You can do this by offering them special deals such as for every successful referral they bring you they can receive a gift from you. Once you start seeing the growth of your home based business through this form of marketing you know your name is out there just that much more as well as more money is coming in. Now is the time to expand even more! Now is the time to start utilizing marketing through every avenue possible.

It is always wise to have some sort of outside marketing going on right from the onset of your business. This is the only way you will ever get any business base to even start appealing further to. However, most home based business do not have a huge fund set aside for marketing from the onset so once the money does start rolling in make sure you allocate it appropriately to add to your marketing strategy.

  1. Word of mouth is what I have been using but I think I need to branch out. I don't have a lot of money to use for advertising but I may not need a lot if I'm smart about it.

  2. What a great idea. I've seen other businesses offer incentives for referrals but never thought about using it in my home business. It makes sense though, thanks for the idea.

  4. I've been using referral incetives for quite some time and it really does work. My incentive is a free meal for 2 at a restaurant where I was able to get a discount because of the quantity of meals I was buying. It more than pays for itself in the new customers I get. Also, old customers who keep on referring, keep on getting their free night out.
